Bloodroot began with a Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange microgrant. The initial spark took root with funding from the James Baker Hall Foundation in 2026. The missions of both groups matched perfectly: helping young writers understand their voices matter too.
At 5:00 pm, the community is invited to gather at Coffee Tree Books for a public reading, conversation, and book signing with Kathleen Driskell.
