Foundation Programs Taking Shape in Bullitt County

But Bobbi is also pulling double time and has been working with interested artists and the foundation to establish an artist association in Bullitt County. The Salt River Local Arts Collaborative is now holding monthly meetings at From the Ground Up Books and Resources in Shepherdsville. From the Ground Up Books has had a store in LaGrange since 2023 and recently expanded to Shepherdsville and serves as a sanctuary for writers and other creatives. Additionally, the store offers clubs, writers groups and special events.

On December 28th, the Salt River Local Arts Collaborative will be holding its December meeting at From the Ground Up Books from 4:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. Sessions include:

4:00-5:15 - Free writing workshop by local author Gwinn Thompson

5:15-5:45 - Used book swap and Potluck

6:00-6:20 - Reading by Lynn Tichnor

6:20-7:00 - Open Mike
